Harvest time and treasuring our world
Through worship over recent weeks, we have been reflecting on our wonderful world and our role in caring for it.
This week Year 4 will lead our special Harvest worship as we give thanks for the foods we enjoy. They have recorded songs, prayers and readings as well as a beautiful, catchy song. Once again, we request donations of food for Crawley Open House. Ian sent us a special video message to explain that more than ever they need donations to support the growing number of homeless people as well as families who are supported with food parcels.
As we have had to experience our daily worship in single classes this term, we are planning a special reflection and prayer trail just before half term. There will be three stations that will focus on the colours of creation, giving thanks for our food, and our role to take care of the world for future generations. We aim to build up a finger-paint frieze to represent our world with all children contributing over the day. We also plan for children to make and create a mini garden out of different recycled materials. For this we ask that you collect, clean and send in pots, packets and boxes — please see an email that will be sent with details.
We are delighted that our pupil Eco team are beginning to meet again and are keen to get us back on track!
